Fire and rescue units, as well as deputies from the Saline County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO), responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 15000 block of 12th Street, Paron, on Sunday afternoon, March 6, 2016.  Upon arrival, a 2009 Chevrolet pick-up was found to have left the road and struck a tree.

The driver, Mr. Kevin Carr, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Saline County Coroner’s Office.

A contributing factor in this fatal accident appears to be excessive speed. 

The Sheriff’s Office wants to remind citizens of Saline County that the overwhelming cause of serious injury and fatality motor vehicle accidents are: 1) speed and; 2) alcohol.  Citizens are urged to be responsible when driving and to adhere to Arkansas traffic laws and obey posted speed limits.
