BENTON, AR - This morning, Saline County Sheriff Rodney Wright took the oath of office in a ceremony presided over by the Honorable Gary Arnold, Circuit Judge for the 22nd Judicial District of Arkansas.  This begins Sheriff Wright’s third term in office.

Also at the ceremony, all of the deputies of the Saline County Sheriff’s Office were sworn in, along with officers of the Benton, Bryant, Hot Springs Village, Haskell and Alexander Police Departments.

The oath of office dates back to the 1860s as a solemn oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States and continues to hold the same importance today.
