Citizens' Complaints are Heard
On November 16, 2015, the Saline County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) received information from a concerned citizen in reference to a traffic complaint (see redacted email below). Within one day of the SCSO receiving that complaint, extra patrol was directed into that area.
On November 17, 2017, SCSO Deputies observed a vehicle matching the description from the concerned citizen’s email. The vehicle was stopped and the operator was identified as Trafton Benson. Mr. Benson was subsequently arrested and transported to the Saline County Detention Center on a variety of traffic related offenses.
Sheriff Rodney Wright would like to thank citizens for informing the SCSO of suspicious activity in their neighborhoods. Sheriff Wright wants citizens to know that when contact is made to the SCSO in reference to crime or traffic problems, those complaints are handled as quickly and thoroughly as possible. This is a very good example of the increased cooperation between the Saline County Sheriff’s Office and citizens of our county.
