At approximately 8:30 am on Sunday, May 28, 2017, the Saline County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a call for shots fired in the 18000 block of Highway 70, Lonsdale, Arkansas.

Responding deputies found an unresponsive subject on the property.  That subject was found to be deceased.

The area was cordoned-off by Patrol Division deputies and detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) were called to the scene.

The incident was deemed a homicide and CID detectives have been actively working the investigation since Sunday morning. 

The victim has been identified as James Lamere, 35 years of age, with an address in Benton, Arkansas.  Next of kin have been notified.
