SALINE COUNTY PRESCRIPTION DRUG/OPIOID OVERDOSE PREVENTION PROJECT KICKOFF
BENTON, AR – The Saline County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO), in partnership with the University of Arkansas Criminal Justice Institute (CJI), the Arkansas Department of Human Services (DHS), the Office of the Drug Director and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), wishes to announce the kickoff event for the Saline County Prescription Drug and Opioid Overdose Prevention Project.
This joint project will educate the public on the opioid crisis, explore viable solutions together and help citizens learn how to get involved in their community. The kickoff will include statistics, stories and solutions specifically addressing the opioid crisis in Saline County. Additionally, participants will provide an overview of how the project will be implemented locally.
All residents of Saline County are invited to attend and participate in this project. The kickoff event will be held in the Haynes Classroom at the Saline Memorial Hospital Health Education Building at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2019.
